FAQ: Dependency Attorney

FAQ: Where is the “dependency attorney” dropdown option in the Contact Log?

In 2024, the “dependency attorney” field was migrated to the Summary tab for all contact records. Users had previously reported that multiple dependency attorney records which made it difficult to track the most recent/current dependency attorney for the case. We now only keep one field for the dependency attorney. This field is populated from the referral form (as do all contact log submissions).

Under the "Summary" tab, the Dependency Attorney Name field is located in the “Child Welfare Information” section.

At any point, if the dependency attorney changes during the case, click into the box to edit the text.
